Crescendo Green supports the development of sustainable commercial forestry projects with a strong focus on drought-resilient and indigenous tree species suitable for Africa's drylands and semi-arid regions. Across much of the continent, water scarcity, land degradation and climate variability demand forestry systems that are both economically viable and ecologically adapted.

Our flagship species is Melia volkensii, an exceptional indigenous hardwood native to East Africa that combines excellent timber characteristics with strong adaptation to arid and semi-arid environments. Unlike many exotic plantation species, Melia volkensii can perform well under relatively low rainfall conditions when established using appropriate site preparation and management techniques, making it an attractive option for climate-smart forestry investments.

Our approach goes beyond supplying seedlings. We assist project developers with species selection, propagation planning, plantation design, planting protocols, water management, and long-term operational strategies.
